Morgan Studios, also known as Morgan Sound Studios, were recording studios in Willesden, North London. The studios were notable for many recordings of the 1960s and 1970s by many British bands and artists such as Yes, The Kinks, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Black Sabbath and UFO and also for having the very first 24-track tape machine in England made by Ampex.[1] Barry Morgan was the original owner, then Robin Millar who renamed it "Power Plant", and then "Battery". Various other unrelated websites have popped up using the name over the years. For instance Morganstudios.com was registered by Scott Morgan in 1998, unaware of the history behind the name. Since then various visual artists have also chosen to use the name "Morgan Studios" as can be seen if one does a quick search on the web.
