Sunday Half Hour is a long standing show broadcast on BBC Radio 2 in the United Kingdom. It is broadcast on Sunday evenings between 8:30pm and 9:00pm and focuses on Christian hymns and prayer. It is one of only two remaining Christian based shows on Radio 2, the other being Good Morning Sunday. Each week the show consists of hymns from the "featured choir" whilst the prayers and discussion are based on a certain theme (e.g. The Family). It was first broadcast in 1940; for its first fifty years a large number of presenters took part, the longest serving of these being Roger Royle, an Anglican priest who presented the show between September 1990 and April 2007. The current presenter is Father Brian D'Arcy, a Passionist priest from Ireland.
