The village of Seli is located at a distance of 22km from Veria and 93km from Thessaloniki, in the prefecture of Imathia, Central Macedonia. It is known also as Kato Vermion of Veria (Greek: Κάτω Βέρμιον Βέροιας). The altitude of the village is 1400-1540 meters,one of the highest villages in Greece and Balkans.There are about 1500 houses in the village....and the cool summers and snowy winters makes Seli the ideal place for vacations.Most of the people are Vlachs.The village has many Hotels and a few cafe-bars and restaurant. The ski lift in Seli was the first one built in the entire country in 1934[2], making Seli the oldest Ski resort in Greece.
