Immanuel is one of the oldest schools on the Sunshine Coast dating back to 1979, when the Lutheran church decided to endeavour to make a distinctive Christian Education for the region. The current principal is David Bliss which has been one of the many principals leading the school since 1979. This college has quickly grown from its starting 63 students to over 870 students ranging from Kindergarten, Preparatory (Early Learning), Junior School (Years 1-6) to Senior School (Years 7-12) and exchange students which are catered for by host families and the college.
