As of 2005 there were about 30 boarding students and 25 day students. [1] Currently there are about 65 boarding and day students. Boarding students are generally in middle and high school. The Christian boarding school began, and still exists as, a ministry of Bible Presbyterian Church (PCA). Max Belz was the pastor of the church at the time of the school's founding. He, Jean, and their eight children lived on the 1-acre (4,000 m2) of donated property where the church building was built. Today Cono has 200 acres (0.81 km2), 25 of which are developed with academic, athletic and student and staff residential facilities. Class sizes are small and average six to eight students for a full academic program. All middle and high school students participate in the choir music program. A touring choir is chose in most years for travel and performance in other parts of the United States.
